A BRIEF REPORT ON KENYA

It gives me great pleasure to welcome the readers of the website page on the Royal embassy of Saudi Arabia in Nairobi – Kenya and I hope they will find here-in all the relevant and necessary information, being a summary of all dimensions, political, economical, cultural and social which is regarded as a source of reference for those ho wish to know about Kenya and its current bilateral relations with our beloved kingdom.

The government of the custodian of the two holy mosques us concerned with the horn of Africa owing to its significant geographical strategic position and its therefore considered as an area of special interest for future developments especially by Saudi Arabia and the world at large.

Kenya has an important strategic position given that it haosts the headquarters of the fifth United Nations Organisation since it harbours the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the HABITAT which is involved in various activities capable of guaranteeing a healthy environment free from any environmental pollutants.

United Nations HABITAT is mainly concerned with the human well-being, besides there are other international non-governmental organisations such as Wrld Health Organisation, Food & Agriculture Organisation and other charitable organisations.

Muslims are approximately to be over 12 million form the gross Kenyan population of around 32 million people.

The Royal Embassy extends financial and material support to the needy Kenyans in different districts through funding projects such as construction of mosques, hospitals, and other development projects such as roads, dams, etc.

In addition, the Emabssy keenly monitors the situation in Somalia, Sudan, Zanzibar, Comoros, and the Re-Union Islands.

The Kingdom extends its aid to tall these under the instructions of the government of the custodian of the two holy mosques.
